    83 650G fuel capacity

    So on page 1-12 of the below linked manual it say "fuel tank INCLUDING reserve" is 4.2 gallons. Then under it it says reserve 4.8 GALLONS. I am "assuming" the reserve capacity is .48 gallons??

    So to calibrate the sending unit, the way i do them, if i put in 2.1 gallons into the tank the gauge should settle approximately at the half tank mark....am i right?

    I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

    For the way you calibrate them, those are the numbers that I would use.

      I OHMed it out per the same manual Steve. Just wanted to be certain what the half tank amount is supposed to be. If i dump in 2.1 gallons then I "should" rest at the half mark on the gauge. If not I will adjust accordingly.
