83 GS 650GL oil pouring out please help identify part

Bike will start and run but oil is pouring out of this, need to know what part it is to replace it. The only thing holding me back from riding it. This is on the left side just above the exhaust

The picture itself doesn't need to be bigger, just show a little more of what is around that area.

You say it's on the left side, just above the exhaust, but I don't recognize anything in the picture.
In fact, I'm having a hard time trying to tell which side is UP.

Seems like you are missing a cap on something, but the aluminum part inside doesn't look familiar in that orientation

I'm with Steve on this one. Can we have a zoomed out photo? That looks to me to be a shot near the top of the exhaust headers, but it really is hard to get oriented.

I'll agree with Nessism, looks like it's coming from where the gear sensor would be

I believe you need #32 and the O-ring (33), and screws, washers that goes with it. This is the "Gear shifting" diagram for 650g. Maybe 37&38 as well......?

Exhaust pipe on front of engine....?
(that is what I first thought, but do not recognize a single thing in your photo)

Exhaust pipe along bottom of engine....?
(Just a therory I thought of later, maybe that is exhaust pipe in lower part of photo with some fabric wrap on it.)
