Also, what's the size of the 550E handlebars? I haven't been able to find that.

My front master cylinder doesn't fit my handlebars
Exactly what it says on the tin. The mounting area is just a bit bigger than my handlebars. Is there a workaround for this, or will I need to get another?

The handlebars should be 7/8". How large a gap are you talking about? Is this an OEM master cylinder?
You could probably shim the handlebars with some thin strips of steel. These are fancy ones made for 1" master cylinder to 7/8" bars, and WAY overpriced in my opinion, but it'll give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

When you say "larger", do you mean the diameter is too large or that it's too long, and gets into the curve of the bars?
What master cylinder did you get?
What handlebars do you have?
Stock bars are 7/8" diameter, no idea how much straight bar is between the throttle housing and the curve.
