Pistons have to be out of course.
Slide boot over piston and move it to the very bottom of piston (on closed end). Put boot into (clean) groove of caliper and then press piston into caliper body. That's what I do anyway.Ed

yes, something in that vein is ideal^^ but if you get in the "middle muddle":
A plastic guitar pick might help.Thin, rounded edges,plastic,wood,and strong. If you've ever taken a cellphone apart, the plastic tools used in a kit might work though I haven't tried them on cylinder boots yet.... Something that doesn't easily pierce the boot or scratch the piston anyway...That said, the first one I ever got on, I used a tiny jewellers' screwdriver very carefully....stretch 'n poke...Last edited by Gorminrider; 11-06-2020, 12:32 PM.
