    Noise on Choke

I have a ticking/clanking noise on my 1978 GS550 when the choke is on. It sounds like it is coming from the right side exhaust area. The higher the choke is the more of the noise there is, but once I lower the choke it goes away and does not come back even with higher rpm's while off choke. Does anyone know what this could be?

Sometimes the rougher running when on choke will make more vibration. It could be the exhaust heat shield near the foot peg is loose. Or the crossover clamp. if it happens only when on the side stand it could be cam walk.
