Time for plugs and plug wires for my '79 GS1000E. What to use rather than B8ES?

My '79 GS1000 is running 'OK'. I am chasing some carb tuning issues and don't want to get sidetracked, but since I want to eliminate any suspect areas, I took a look at the spark. It looks weak, barely visible.

I have read that a lot of counterfeit B8ES plugs are out there, and it's discontinued by NGK. I have also read that the resistors in the plug caps may degrade; well the plug wires may be ready to be replaced too as they look to be stock. If anyone has a recommendation on a reasonably priced replacement setup, and in general, what to do, I'd appreciate it. I'll read up, I see some threads on the subject. And yeah, coils look to be stock, but it has a Dyna S ignition.

The Denso W24ESU resistor plug (also known as 4030) seems a possibility. They are only 2.99 at Summit Racing. I am wondering if I can try those and just pull the resistor cap off the plug and try them out to check performance. And if not good I could then go to step two, get new wires? There comes the 2nd question, what wires to use? Tight financial times so I want to be sensible and do the right thing.

I don't think the W24ESU is a resistor plug. I'd get those. In fact, I bought a bunch of W24ES plugs (no U) a while back for a great price off ebay.

    Up for your Consideration is a NOS ND Spark Plug Plugs Box of 10 Fits: Honda CB360 CB450 SL350 W24ES. SL350-K2 1972 350 Motosport 350 Dual Sport. SL350-K1 1971 350 Motosport 350 Dual Sport. CL450-K6 1974 450 Scrambler 450 Dual Sport.

If your bike is starting & running as it should now, you can replace all the plugs, wires, & coils & it will still be starting & running as it should. If you have no problems going in, new stuff will never fix it.
