    Legally, I think it ends up being fairly expensive. There are some options though... save it and mix it in a bit at a time in the car (I've done that with older vehicles where it concerned me less, or ones wehre the filter was readily accessible) or you could mix it in with used oil when you go to get rid of that (something you can do at any auto parts store).

      I use a gas stabilizer over the winter and don't usually have a problem with using the gas in the spring on my GS1000. If it's with a bike that using it might be questionable I just put it in the car or something else that's not as fussy about what it burns.

        Put it someone else's tank!

        Seriously, I get rid of small amounts of stale gas by siphoning it into a gas can & pouring into my truck tank.
