    Clutch basket question

Can anyone tell me are the 4 springs in the back of the clutch basket supposed to be tight or is a little movement cool. I wouldn't say mine are loose but they rattle a little bit. Is this alright? Do I need a new basket? Can I replace them? Its a stock motor.

    Thanks

I believe that snug is stock. small movement is slight wear and not a problem with a stock motor. i had rattlers in my 1100e when i bought it and it still worked ok. If you are a regular go for a ride type then they should be fine

        springs

The springs should be tight. They are there as a cush-drive and if they werent the gear-box would wear rather quickly. This is where the clutch rattle comes from when you bike is idling and dissapears when you pull the clutch in. You can put heavier springs for a upgrade.
