I have a set of Cheng-shin Barracudas on my Yamaha, I like the traction of the tires, they haven't let me down yet. But, The life I am getting out of the rear is not what I expected, I am on the second rear, and the front still looks good, I think I may get three rears to the one front.

If you're getting Cheng Shin tires, make sure you get the HiMax series, not the Barracuda or Marquis.
The HiMax front looks like a Metzeler Laser (cool chevron block pattern) and the rear is a modern large block tread.
The Barracuda, Marquis, etc. are older designs and don't grip or wear nearly as well.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

yet another happy Cheng-Shin Hi-Max user here. put a set on about 1000 miles ago, traction is better than the "Kenda Challengers" I had before, and $60 bucks for the set. I'm sure there are much better tires for much more money though.
