    Rider position

I have a GS 650G. I find the foot control placement uncomfortable. Has anyone ever taken a GS engine and put it into a Cruiser style frame? I was thinking along the lines of a Harley Style frame, it would (it seems) allow for the engine to be moved forward 4-8 inches. This would be a more comfortable position for tall riders like me 6'4".

    Any thoughts on this.

Position huh? I've always preferred the bike on the bottom, rider on top arrangement.

What you want is an L model, which is the cruiser. I don't think they made a 650L, but did in the bigger bikes- check the for sale forum

By the way, I'm 6'4" and love the riding position on my 78Gs100C - maybe you should try lower handlebars

        Position

I too am over 6 ft. I find the riding position on my 79 GS850 preferable to the position offerred on the various Harley's I have ridden.
However I am sitting behind a Hannnigan Fairing.
Ride em hard and put em away wet.....
