    new cylinder liners (sleeves)

How easy/difficult is it to fit new cylinder liners (sleeves) into a GS1000 block, how hot must the block be heated to do the job, do I need any special equipment ?

Your wife's oven & two bricks. Place the 2 bricks in the oven, where each end of the cylinder block will rest on them. Set the cylinderblock upside down on the bricks, so the old sleves will slide right out when they get hot enough. Set the oven on high & wait. Have the new sleves in the frig. When the old ones fall out, drop the new, cold ones in. Be sure they go all the way in. The tops of the sleves should be flush with the top of the cylinder block. Be sure the "O" rings are removed from the bottoms before you put them in the oven

Thanks for the info, sounds easy enough, just got to find some liners then.
PS. got an oven - no wife, lucky me

It would probably be cheaper to find another block or rebore the one you
        have
