    GS1150 Header Bolt Torque Value

I bought my GS1150EF last fall and referbushed the front end, forks and steering head bearings, over the winter. I've put on about 1000KM and have had to tighten the allen bolts that bolt the 4 in 1 exhaust header to the engine an number of times. I have both the Suzuki and Haynes shop manuals but they don't specify the torque value that I should be torqueing the bolts to.

Does anyone know what this value should be, I originally torqued them to 10 NM and then 13 NM and now I'm up to 15 NM?

I also added lock washers when I tighten them to 13 NM but as you can see, they still loosened.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

In my book it says: Exhaust pipe clamp bolt 20-25 N-M, or 2.0-2.5 Kg-m, or 14.5-18.0 Lb-ft

In the past I would check them cold and again as the motor cooled down but still a little warm. I lost one once.

Be sure to put anti sieze compound on the exhaust bolts, it's no fun having broken bolts in your head.
