    Centre stand

I've just found a centre stand at my local wrecker. It's cleaned up and ready to go on, but I can't see a back stop on the frame. What do the centre stands normally rest against in the retracted position?

It's 1980 GSX1100E The stand mounts are there on the frame but the bike didn't have a centre stand fitted when I bought it. The donor bike at the wrecking yard had dodgy home-fab stop.

    Thanks

    Ben

on my '83 650, the centrestand stop is built into the left side muffler bracket.

Of course, this means that I'm stuck using the stock hanger for whatever mufflers I might want to put on my bike.

It rests on a rubber stop on the exaust, if you have a 4 into 1, you will need to dodgy home-fab one
