    Quick swap question

A freind of mine is looking at a '79 GS425 with a bad motor (low compression), but the rest of the bike is good. I happen to have an '81 GS450T motor looking for a home. Would a swap between these two bikes be possible? Are there any other differences besides the cc's?

It should work, the 425 and 450 are pretty close in most respects. I think the only difference was the bore.

Could be a carby difference, but that's easy to find out,I know the 450 produced more power, but it just could be a jet change.
Apart from that you should be cool.

If the 450 is complete, use the carbs that it has.
