the stator on my 83 1100E has some chips here and there, 2 on the outside of a wire, and some on the "poles" where the wire is wraped. is this something i should be worried about?

    Re: quick stator Q

If its just chips in the wire coating, it isnt anything to worry about. If the chips are where wires have been cut or broken, then yes.

If the copper is bare I would suggest coating it with paint or Araldite or something. If the copper has been damaged, it may blow open at some point due to the electric load put on it. Thats gonna be your judgement call.
