    Tire Change

I am in the process of repairing my shaftie '82 850L, and one of the repairs will be the tires. I need to know this:

Can the rear wheel be removed without draining the differential, or will a fluid replacement be part of my rear tire mounting process?

Also, do I need to remove the front wheel to get to the speedo cable?

    HELP!!!

Won't lose any fluid by changing rear wheel, be sure to grease the splines before reinstalling the wheel. Will not need to remove front wheel for speedo cable access. I would strongly suggest a Clymer, Haynes, or Suzuki repair manual, for your model bike.

Keep going at that speedo cable, it took me ~20 minutes the first time I tried to install one... taking it off was just a little easier :P

You may have to loosen the front axle to rotate the speedo cable drive to an accessable position.
