Carburetor diaphragm GSX750s1 Katana

I rebuilt my carbs which were running very rich when I first bought the bike. I found the previous owner had set the float hights wrongly and this cured the problem. All except number 4 which is still running very rich. Mixture screw adjustment had no effect.
When I removed the carbs again to re-check no 4 I noticed I had not seated the the diaphram in the locating lobe properly. This would have affected the the seal on the diaphragm.
Would this have accounted for the rich no4 pot?

I don't want to reasemble until I get some feedback.

Yes it could have, The only way to find out is put it together and try it

reasembled the carbs tonight but no joy. The numer 4 down pipe is noticably cooler than the rest. I,m going to replace the float valve as I suspect this may be the problem but I would welcome other theories.

The UK dealer wants ?24 ($50) for one float valve and housing!!! There is no way I'm paying that price. Can anyone recomend a cheep supplier of carb overhaul kits. I don't mind shopping outside of the UK.

If you think it is the float valve WHY not swap between one of the other carbs. But I think you need to clean that carb again
