Alright. The day of reckoning has arrived. After having dinked with the carbs off & on for a year, and after having recently gone over the bike stem to stern to clean, lube, touch up, replace parts, etc., today should be the day that I hopefully start the bike and sync the carbs. With success, I can finally remove the "(awaiting carb tuing)" from the GS850L on my signature below. Then I can get to work on the XS650.

Of course, if I run into any problems, I knew where to turn.

Well, wouldn't you know it. After I put the carbs back on and tested the choke cable to make sure it was hooked up right, etc., it broke. The cable stuck in the closed position and would not budge an inch. :x GRRR! Also, ahem, a small temper tantrum then permanantly killed the choke cable.

So now I'm checking around for lowest price and quickest delivery. Something tells me that I'll have to choose between one or the others.

Further bulletins as warranted.

P.S. At least the bike looks good all put back together.
