White alloy corrosion on the cooling fins

Anybody have suggestions how to get rid of the white fur on my cooling fins and also how to stop it from coming back? Would like to do this without disassembly of the top end.

    Thanks!

I don't know how bad it is, but you should be able to get a rag dipped with chrome polish or light abrasive and reach in there. Put the rag around a wood/popsicle stick to avoid scratching the metal? Dremel would work too, but be careful of creating a shine if you don't want it.
The corrosion will come back if you don't apply something to protect the metal. Some wax or similar. Covering the bike with a cotton or similar blanket will help against moisture/corrosion.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Popsicle stick. Why didn't I think of that?
