    3/16" HD Petcock

    Hi guys,
I just bought a 3/16" outlet Harley type petcock for my 1100E which appears to have a 1/4" fuel tap origionally. Do you guys think it will flow enough fuel for 115 Main jets? I found that MAC (MC Distributing) sells 5/8" NPT adapter plates to mount onto Japanese gas tanks. The chrome tap was 20 bucks and the plate is another 8 bucks. If things work out I'll post a picture in the Tips and Tricks section because it's wayyyyy cheaper than Pingel. If it doesn't work I'll put it on my old GS400E. :P

    Cheers, Steve

Don't replace the stock fuel inlet size with anything smaller. Fuel starvation will happen.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Well, I pulled the screen off of the tap and the inside tubes are only half of 3/16" That is pretty surprising, a Harley can run on that small of a tube without dieing out? They must either get fantastic mileage or need both tanks turned on at once...I'm not sure which it is. More checking required tomorrow.

It works really well. I added some pics in the Tips and Tricks section.

          Petcock

My 1980 GS550L has just one petcock, but three ports out. One fuel out, one vacuum, and another larger than the vac port, which is capped but must have had a connection in the distant past. Anyone know or remember what that one is for?
