    1977 GS 750 - No Spark

I just got a 1977 GS 750 that had been stored in a barn for 12 years. I cleaned everything and cranked it. No spark. Any ideas where I should start? I have a Clymer manual on order.

You could start by checking there is 12v at the coils. Check the coil's impedance on both the high & low sides. Remove the points cover & check the points & condensers. Make sure there's 12v getting to both sets of points.

You should seriously consider upgrading to electronic ignition & new coils & wires. It's money well spent.

Check for 12v at the coil, clean the points make sure gap .016. It would be a good idea to replace the condensers. PUT some new spark plugs in the motor It also helps If you have access to a car battery hook it up with jumper cables Make sure you have gas in the carbs & It should run
