Help!!! GS750 Starter Question

Could somebody please tell me if a GS700E starter work on a GS750E engine? And if not what starters will work in the 750E motor (ie the 650, 850, 1000, 1100?). Thanks.

I think I'm going to buy some replacement parts from him as soon as I get the starter out of the 550 and get a look at it to see what's what.

Sigh... I just mounted the carbs I bought from Lophea and now I can't even test them... I know the 850 starter is the same, but I just sold mine to Hostar last week...

Taking a look at Stockers ap data it looks like it depends on the year of the 750 engine. 80-82 won't work. 83 up you're gold! The 700 will fit.

No listings for the 79 and earlier bikes.

Wow according to the site a lot of different GS models use the same starter. Cool... I found a 1981 GS1000 starter I am going to buy and use then I guess. Thank you.
