    Chain Adjustment Dilemma

My drive chain slack is 3+ inches at one place and taut in another. I know the correct answer is "new chain" but until then, how should I adjust?

Adjust to the tight point ,if you don't you can put to much pressure on your bearing's.
Please don't wait to long for replacement, chain's are cheaper than engine caseing's......................................... I'm not well,I just answered a chain question, MEDIC!

A chain that worn is asking for trouble! Pawn your wedding ring and get a new chain. The last thing you need is the thing snapping, jumping off the sprockets, or flying into the cases at &^%$ mph.

A chain in that condition is an accident waiting to happen. Park the bike until you can put new sprockets and chain on it.

I just took a chain like that off the 1100. It was unbearable to ride at slow speeds and I was afraid to ride fast with it. I also found that my front sprocket was on backwards. Now it is like Heaven. :P

AND sprockets. If you dont put new sprockets on it with the new chain, you wont get a month out of the new chain before its trash.
