Need stator for '82 GS1100GK. What other bike stators will

Hi. I had to laugh when I read another first-time poster say he'd been "lurking in the shadows" here for awhile but I guess that fits me, too. I've read a lot and learned a lot here. This site is great.

I've been searching for a stator for an '82 GS1100GK with few results. Are there other bikes that use the same stator? And do the parts that it fits into have to be replaced also?

When I replaced mine I used the one for the 1100G. I replaced my r&R at he same time. But I was frustrated and needed the pain to stop and was willing to pay.

I'm not sure if this will work for you but I have a Katana 1100 stator on my GS750EF and it works great. Bolts right in same size but with slightly more output.
