Thanks for your prompt help.Got the swinging arm bearings(new ?17)
All is well with s-arm.Something else you may be able to help with---
Am i right in thinking that the spacing between the exhaust ports is the same on the gs850,1000,1100 ? Also what the best way to unsieze brake caliper pistons?mine are well solid.

The bike comin on fine now.Bought it in large lumps!with lots of rusty parts. I have the rolling chassis together, with engine in.(not to bad, seeing that I have owned it just over a week now)

Thanks again for your help, all the best, Chop

If they are frozen bad you may have to replace them, Take the two 1/2s appart spray the piston with PB Blaster? -Penatrating oil?? let it soak. If you get them to move?? Try a blast of air into the hose connection to force the piston out. be carefull it can pop out with a lot of force. Install new seals
