    '82 GS1100G Engine gasket set.....

Got our engine gasket set in,, installed rings from BikeBandit ($25 per piston), gaskets that arrived are incorrect....Set labeled "G/Set GS1100 80-81". Perfect!!! Not even close....my buddy who ordered it from Partsnmore.com ASSumed they were the same...NOT. Apparently these engines were changed from 1981 to 12/82.....Hard to find out, as "History of GS engine" on this site is not year specific.....We need dates that engine changed.....will have to re-order (of course)......
    THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!

Not sure if this applies to the "G", but between my 81 and my 83 there was a change from a 20 bolt head to a 24 bolt head. I think that's right...

the 20-24 bolt refers to the # of bolts for the cam cover

          You probably got a set of gaskets for a 4 valve 1100E not a 2 valve 1100G
