You won't get the Harley rumble...if you want that go buy a Harley. The only reason that I can come up with as to why my drilling of the holes (the 3 on each side without rivets) is because I'm sure that there was some clogging and this just brought it closer to stock. Don't try to McGeyver the exhaust. It usually won't work the way you want.

Note: If anyone does not know who McGeyver was, watch TV Land and you'll understand what I mean. Sorry, I'm starting to show my age.

I watched that show faithfully and now RICHARD DEAN ANDERSON is a regular on the stargate series if that show still exists.

I never even thought I might get something close to a Harley rumble...I was just using that as a reference as to the loud exhausts I am accustomed to. If got loud like that I wouldn't complain....on the other hand, I don't want to sound like an uncorked weed whip tho either

How big did you drill those holes?

Its going to sound about like your lawn mower does when the muffler rusts out and falls off.

Drilled 3/8" holes. It made a little difference, but didn't make it too load. Two things: First, watch out for the noise ordinances in your area and; Second, remember how cool the glasspacks on your car sounded...for about a week. The noise gets old real quick.

                    Or your bike

Still trying to figure out why the previous owner did that.

Be sure to make sure the bike isn't running too lean if you uncork it. Lean running is bad news, hi temps and burned valves could be on the horizon...
