    700 clutch basket wire

Hey all, I'm trying to replace the clutch in my 700, I've got the eight steels and fibers, and four new springs. I've got the cover off and the springs and top plate off. I removed 8 fibers, and 7 steels, but the last steel was held in with a thing wire that clipped held that last steel in the bottom of the basket. Bike bandit doesn't show it on it's diagrams, and I am wondering what exactly it is, and if there's an easy way to get it back in. thanks all

well, I solved part of the problem, it's part #15, called RING WASHER STO, on bike bandit.com

but it shows it behind the last steel, WTF?

Under the last steel plate is a spring plate and seat. So there are actually three pieces under the wire clip. It will go back in after you're done. Just squeeze the wire down to free it from it's position and pull it out. You might be able to get by without pulling it out but it's worth the effort to clean things out.
