    Tire info

    Hello all

I am new here and I found your site searching for info about my bike. I recently aquired an '82 450 L in need of some major TLC. I am currently looking for info on replacement tires but I am not having much luck.

the ones that are currently on the bike now, i think, came with it back in 1982

    Any information will be helpful
    thank you

I just replaced the tires on my 450 with cheng shin hi-max
90/90 18 on front and 120/90 16 on rear. they seemed to be the closest match to the oem tires. I got them at tiresunlimited.com and had a local shop install them for 30 bucks.

P.S. I know the tires are made in Taiwan, but I have seen good reviews for them...

My 1985 450L has Cheng Shin Marguis tires which are also working great. Dennis Kirk carries them as do most local shops.

You can look through the site and find many discussions on tires. It may be a good idea to do that.

        One brief bit of advice:

DO NOT DRIVE ANYWHERE ON TWENTY YEAR OLD TIRES.
