I bought my GS750ES off my uncle who had decomissioned the anti-dive system. To add pressure we use a hand pump into the valve on the top of the left fork. I belive it's suppose to be 2.5 - 3.5 psi? You need to use a Low Pressure gauge. Not one of those that go up to the hundreds that you'd use on car tires. I don't have my manual with me, so maybe someone could confirm the pressure value.

If your forks arn't holding pressure then you may have to replace the seals, or take a look at the anti-dive system to see if theres a leak. I've never delt with the system, so I dunno how you'd do this.

Also.. when filling up your bike should be on the center stand with all the weight taken off the front wheel.

On my bike (83 gs750ed) the air valve is on the left fork under a cap under the upper clamp. https://<a href="http://houseofmotor...715493.asp</a>
number 25 on the schematic. The manual I got copied from the dealer, it said to put 5-15psi in the forks depending on the amount of preload desired. I run around 10 psi which settles about an inch when my wife and I are on the bike. It doesn't dive and doesn't bottom while driving over bumps. A fist full of brake with the front tire howling will still not bottom out. I have upped the viscosity of the fork oil to 20W as well.

Progessive brand fork springs, at $75 the pair, were worth every penny and more. HUGE difference in ride, both firmer and plusher at the same time, and no more bottoming out!
