    broken tit

Ok now I have your attention!! Has anybody found a way to repair a side cover after one of the mounting tit has broken off.. Thanks Dan

JB Weld. You can sand it and paint it if desired. It's not as strong as an unbroken cover, extra care will need to be taken when removing and replacing the cover, but it will hold and not break due to vibration.

IF their is no tit left You could also JB weld a screw to the cover & then a glob of JB on the end to form a ball

The 2 secrets to using the JB successfully are:

        Clean the parts well.

And give the JB at least the reccommended amount of time to cure and then for good luck, wait another day.

I also found that the JB works best when it is 'built up' around the peg and any cracks in the panel. Take two days to do the build up. Do it this way and you won't have to do it again. My repaired peg is over ten years old.
Oh yeah. Use the original formula NOT the Quick.
