cam tensioner leak
My cam tensioner is dripping oil from the knurled knob. The alpha sports site shows just one o-ring on the tensioner assembly- no oil seals or anything. Is this right?Tags: None

there is one o-ring on the locking screw on the left side of the tensioner, but there is also another for the rod connected to the knurled knob.
this seal is probably bad, and I would recommend replacing it. while your at it, since your tensioner will be apart, you might as well replace the other oring, clean it out, and replace the gasket. that should do for another few year
heres a site from another GSR that should make things easy:

Hey Poot,
The site you referanced to should be required reading! I found it most informitive and saved in PDF for future referance, you know of any others?

Oh Yea! 8)
Read and saved the stator papers and I'm going to follow the 850 rebuilds.
I continue to seek more.
