Rear caliper in bad shape what now?

OK, I was not geting anywhere bleeding the rear caliper on my '80 GS*%)G so I decided to remove it. WELL, the outboard piston seal turned into DUST when I touched it, and the inside of the caliper ifs full of rust collored brake fluid. How can I retuld this thing? Or shouls I get get another from a junk yard?

Found SOME individual parts but rebuild kit?

OK looked at Bikebandit.com and Crotchrocket.com, etc. and they do have the piston seals and dust boots seperately but is there a KIT out there with all need seals to fix our bikes?

Also how do I get the pistons out to rebuild the caliper? :?

get new seals/boots, take it apart, sand it LIGHTLY with emery (sp?) paper, clean it real good, and put it back together

OK, got the emery paper in the bore of the caliper part. Now HOW do I get the pistons out?

Anyone know of a rebuild kit for the rear calipers that is complete? crotchrocket.com offers a $30 (Piston Set)?

The piston should come out with a little compressed air at the brake line fitting tap. Use caution and low air pressure it could shoot out like a bullet.

If you don't have an air compressor, hook the caliper back up to your brake line (but not installed on the bike), and (with fluid in the reservoir), use the brake pedal to force it out.
