twin dome combustion chamber. (like a hemi with boobs?) mostly used on single cylinder engines i think.
can't tell you anything else.
if you mean tscc (twin swirl combustion chamber), it's good and you want it. it prevents fuel droplets from sticking to the cylinder walls

Thanks for the suggestion, Robin, but I can't get this site to replicate it. When I type it into the search engine, I get a bunch of hits, but nothing specific to what I'm looking for. Typing in the words with "and" between them only gives me my post and the responses.....
I'm just trying to figure out what type of engine is on this bike we recently acquired. It's a 1981 GS650L but the engine is black and so is the exhaust...very different than the one on my other 650L....

I can't find any ID number near the clutch lever.... <feeling really dumb now>
Seems as though not much is known about this engine in the '81s....
