Anyone running these tyres and are they any good? Was thinking of putting them on the 850 but I see they're nylon.Tags: None

I have a set on my 821100e and have had no issues with them. I don't scrape the pegs but dry traction has been good and last week I rode in the drizzle/rain at relatively high speeds with out a problem.
The back tire has some life left but is showing some wear and I think I have about 2500-3000 miles on them.1982 GS1000S Katana

Hi
I have them on my bike..
Very good tires.
But a bit soft so they wear faster then I like..
The front tire is 100/90 but in reality it is 98/90 on my bike
The rear is 130/90 but in reality it is 137/90 on my bike ..
The tires stick to the road as if they are glued to it...

Good, that's what I wanted to hear. Wear factor doesn't bother me too much. I'm more concerned with decent grip for the winter. Tusand tak!

I ran the Mezteler ME33 Laser and ME55/550 on the rear for the past 1.5 years. They wore out at 7500 miles but provided great traction their entire life. The new Lasertec tires are the same as I had, just with a newer name.
I opted to try a set of Pirelli Sport Demon's this round...

OMG - wear isn't an issue!!?? I spent a whole W/E changing one tire and wear became a huge issue for me.
Ace.

I've got a Metzeler Lazer front and ME55 Metronic rear set of tires on both bikes. One of the best tires you can get for our bikes. 8)

Hi
The Lasertec tyres are new tyres with old pattern...
"Cross Ply Construction: Using state of the art polyester fibres to reduce weight, the diagonal casing construction significantly improves self-damping and handling characteristics.
New Compound: An exceptionally high silica content with highly-active carbon ensures excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces without sacrificing mileage.
Classic Tread Design: Extensive testing by Metzeler technicians concluded that the ME33/55 parabolic arrow patterns offered the best possible solution, combining optimal water dispersion with excellent lateral tread stability.
Metzeler Lasertec will simplify the range for both dealers and customers and replace all sizes previously offered in ME33, ME55A, ME330, ME550, ME99A and ME1 patterns."

I'll chime in once more about the DUNLOP ELITE K491s. They are a good, long-wearing tire at a great price.

I'll go with the laser tec. I like the look of them too. I have new michelin macadams on the GS thou and they're a bit scary in the wet.

I sniff a bit when I realize that I can no longer get a Dunlop K181 without special ordering it from a "vintage" specialty house :? I like the Dunlops and will have to settle for K555's front & rear.

The K181 is back as a limited reproduction. This is the tire that came stock on many earlier models.

I can't seem to get a tire to last me more than 3-4000 miles, but I had the ME33/55 combo on most of this year. It is a great handling, sticky, confidence inspiring in the wet stuff tire. I've gone back to Dunlops, but those tires are nearing the end as well... :?Currently bikeless
