gsxr 750 in a gs frame

Does any one know if a late 80's gsxr750 air coled motor will fit any of the gs engine cradles. If so which one would be most suitable. I am not concerned with swingarms, because I'm not using one. The engine cradle is strictly a starting point for me to build what I have in my mind. Thank you for any info you might have.

A month or two ago the bike of the month was an '83 GS750 if I remember right with a Gixxer motor. The air cooled motors would be the best choice. The '86 and '87 motors were the easiest to coax extra horsepower out of. The '88-'90 motors had shorter strokes and were harder to get extra ponies from.

Try asking the editors about the owner of the bike of the month a few months back. They'll know which bike you are talking about. It was an '83 GS750 chassis with the GSX-R motor in it.
