lowering 550L

Anyone have any Ideas for lowering a '82 550L to bring the seat height down to about 25 inches. ( my wife can barly touch the ground) Easy enough to re locate the rear shock mounts. Trying to figure out an easy way to drop the front end 2.5- 3 inches. The fork tubes only slide up in top tree about 3/4 of an inch before hitting the handle bars. Thought about making some kind of risers but the triple tree being aluminum I' m a little leary of over stessing it .

You can get a part that goes between the top triple tree and the top clamps together with taller bolts to basically make them higher. That would leave more room to lower the forks but see how much they go up when they compress to keep the mfrom hitting the lower triple tree.
