87' GS450L - What other bikes have interchangable parts?

I just got my hands on a 1987 GS450L w/18K on it. Everything works(except the fuel guage) and it runs fine. All original stuff is still on it.
I haven't found much aftermarket stuff for this bike but I heard the GS500 may have some stuff that works. Mine is in good shape but I'd like a different seat, a jet kit would be nice along w/a decent 2 to 1 exhaust.

    I'm a loyal Suzuki owner - my other bike is a 04' DRZ400E.

your question is very very vague man....

any part from any bike/car/airplane will fit if you're willing to adapt it...

none of my bikes are stock, i have a lot of gsxr parts on almost all of them, and even a few car parts (have you seen how much zuki charges for flasher relays?)

2:1 exhaust might be hard to find, my guess is you'll have to custom make one or adapt something... its pretty easy if you can bend your own pipes...

jet kit, pah! everyone wants a jet kit... learn what jets do, learn how to do a plug chop and drill your own jets... thats what real motorcyclists do!

as far as the seat goes: you can cut your own foam and have it recovered. but you probably guessed that's what id say. cheap too, about 100$ instead of an expensive and unfindable corbin...

wanna trade your drz for a really trick 1150? i got one what'll bounce your eyeballs off the back of your skull...

2-1 Exhaust by Mac is readily available at Dennis Kirk.

The seat, good luck finding anything at shops for that new. Better to have your pan customized or bodge a seat to your bike.

I doubt you'll find a jet kit for a 450... they don't even sell carb rebuild kits for these anymore (did they ever??). Best to get the parts you need one by one.

wow! my post sounded downright mean. sorry about that dude, the fuel vapors made me do it... i swear... yeah, during the winter you can cut soem hardish space-age foam to any shape you find cool/comfortable and try recovering your seat yourself (a good fabric store will have the material) or have it recovered by a pro. im gonna give it a shot myself when my 1100 seat finally starts to rip.
im serious about trading your 400 though, but you probably wouldnt be interested...

Thanks to both of you guys!

I appreciate that MAC exhaust link. I guess I should have asked for jettng advice instead of a jet "kit" The kits are nice sometimes because they include things like a lighter slide spring(for CV carbs) which give quicker response and a "researched" and tested solution for a certain bike.

I ordered some superbike bars and cleaned it up...I may sell it and buy a ZX14R when they come out in a few months. Till then - I'll enjoy it. I've also been considering buying a KTM525EXC but I can't afford both.

So whats this about the DRZ? What model/year is this bike your offering?
My DRZ(In Blue no less) has a full SS FMF powerbomb header and Powercore 4 exhaust along with Dynojet kit installed. I put Racetech suspension at both ends for my weight (heavier than average) and I've got a new FCR MX Pumper carb coming for it...and all the conversion parts are in my shop already. I want a sport bike...
