Question about "park" on the ignition switch

What lights are supposed to come on when you put the ignition switch into the "park" position? No lights come on on my bike in Park, and I thought the front t/s, and the rear running light were supposed to come on (all bikes are different from my experiences. Thanks,
    Rich

Just the rear tail light, as far as I know. That is how it is on both my bikes

Taillight only on mine as well. What's the purpose of it anyway?

It's so you could take your gal parking on a dark back road. After you've been down in the woods for a while, on a dark night it would be hard to find your bike if you didn't have the parking light to see.

In Europe Germany for one) it is requirred to use a parking light when parking a vehicle in a place where visibility is small or if there is a lot of fog.

This was a question on the Driver test for a license in Germany I took years ago. All cars sold there had a switch that turned a small bulb on in one of the turn signals , not the regular parking lights.
