      Honda R/R
Stator (stock used from Ebay – sure hope it’s good..)
Install Dyna DC1-1 coils (undecided - may save these for a future 1100)
Dismantle, clean and lube starter – DONE!
Go through all connections on wiring harness & replace if necessary.
      New rear tire
4 into 1 exhaust (if I can find one for the right price).
Increase main jet size to 120 to compensate for K&N air filter (larger if I get exhaust).
      Re-tune & synch carbs.
Install Mr. Fusion unit & hover conversion.
Inspect top end, timing chain, check valve shim clearance – new shims if necessary.
New Valve cover gasket & half moons.
Replace most of the hardware with stainless.
Replace leaky tach gear oil seal.
Flush forks, change oil & add spacers. (Maybe Progressive fork springs)

      Clean up engine.
Polish and clear coat engine covers - new emblems.

Yeah, it's a long list, but I'm a single college student with time (and some money) to burn. The bike looked and ran like crap when i got it, looks and runs like a champ now. My first bike, already invested WAY too much money, why stop now? I love this bike. Pictures to follow.

          my plans

Well, Over the winter inthe 1981 gs 850 gl I changed the oil and filter, installed a fairing, changed the plugs, painted the bike, put saddle bags on it. I have yet to install lowers, cyclesound and make some saddle bag mounts. I also need to change the o rings on the tach gear.
It looks like a "new" old bike. It is not perfect but considering what I started with it is great. When I am done, I will post pictures.
