    1991 suzuki katana 1100 carbs into 1982 gs1100e

    hi would a gsx1100 carbs bolt straight onto gs1100e without any work thanks

      would that boost any more power and if the stock carbs boots will fit and if any jetting is needed thanks

        have a look into that thread:



        boots should fit on head side, you should use open pots, I heavily recommend the dual K+Ns. You need to rejet. 1100 late "Katana" (in Europe GSX1100F) are motorwise basically the same as GSXR1100. I am not sure about really early models they may be the same as 86-88GSXR1100, then the carbs wont fit as they have smaller boots.

          You need to rejet. Probably smooth the boots if there is a "step" where the carb fits in. If done correctly you will have more power, but especially better throttle response.
