    Exhaust bolt size?

Can anyone tell me the size of the exhaust bolts on my 77 GS750? The ones that came with my V&H pipe already look crappy and I want to replace them with some stainless ones. I tend to think they are M8 35mm, but I want to be sure before I order them.

On my GS 550L 82' they are too M8 35mm...

So I think everyone share the same ...

Just as a follow up, the M8-35mm SS bolts I ordered are way too long. The size they should be are M8-25mm. The thread pitch and size M8 are right on but the length should be 25mm.

make sure you put some anti-sieze goop on those bolts before you put them back in. Stainless+aluminum+high heat=STUCK!

            Pasteurized,

Where did you order your bolts from? I'm looking for something better since my local hardware store carries little to no metric fasteners.

            thanks-

I got them at McMaster-Carr, http://www.mcmaster.com/. Their website is a little hard to navigate at first, so scroll down to "Fastening and Sealing" and then click on "Socket Head Cap Screws". You should be able to go from there. Good pricing, no minimum, cheap ($4.50) shipping that was very fast!

BTW I am getting some pics ready to pm you about the seat...
