turn signals
the right rear signal will not work on my 1982 gs 450. Here's the thing....the left one works wired into the right and the right one works wired into the left...but, nothing from the left signal when wired correctly.

My first thought is no voltage is coming from the left wire beyond where the signal plugs into. that wire may be damaged or unplugged somewhere down the line. Do you have a cheap volt ohm meter to check continuity and voltage?

I had a similar problem. PO had rewired for a fairing and screwed things up. I would do the following:
1. Buy a new flasher relay. Mine was generic and cost about $5.
2. If that doesn't work, you'll need to trace the wires from the switch thru the headlight and out to the relay, making sure the correct wires go to and from the relay and they carry voltage . A shop manual or wiring diagram is a must.
Good luck.
