    Oil in alternator

    Hi there

My projekt is very soon running!
I have one question. I fittet a new gasket on the left hand side of the engine. The cover around the Alternator. Is it normal that there is motoroil inside that? it was not filled with oil, but there was a medium thick layer all over.
    It is a GS 1000 from 80'
    Regards

It is the to screws that are holding the right fron kaliber together. It is hard to find part in Denmark, the dealer said he had it....one week late he realized that he didnt. So he ordered from Japan...the waiting sucks.
