My GSX750ES (same as the US GS700ES) is a great bike but I have a lot of buzzy vibes through the pegs and seat at around 5-7000rpm .
The mirrors are clear and not much via the bars.
What is strange is that if I hold the engine cases at these RPMs they are not buzzing at all .
I found the Exaust (4-1) was hard up against the engine underneath so I gave it some clearance with a ball peen hammer but thats only made it worse .
I have checked the engine mounts and they seem firm enough.
Any ideas ? how much vibration is usual.

This is a great forum , I found that the bike has an Air valve for the front forks through reading posts , what a difference some Air makes to the way it handles !

My '83 750es is pretty buzzy as are most inline 4's, but if adjusting your exhaust per your method made it worse then it would suggest that the buzz you're feeling is tied to the exhaust. Try loosening the mounts from the head to the frame then retighten starting with the head mount bolts and working back.

Have you balanced the carbs with a mercury manometer?
My 750 used to vibrate a LOT until I sat down and really balanced the carbs right. The bike now is almost vibration free.

bad buzz

let me know how you make out. my 83' gs750es has quite a bit of buzziness(is that a word?) at highway speeds. i thought that it might be the hindle exhaust but i've frigged(now i know thats not a word) with it
to no avail.....................
don't have the stock exhaust to try on it..............

I've had my 83 GS750ES since new (with stock exhaust) and it has always vibrated in certain rev ranges: a narrow band around 4,700 RPM's, and over a broader range above 7,000 RPM's - bad enough to "buzz" the front brake lever. So, like Moto Dan, I think that a certain level of vibes are inherent to this engine.

HMM.... I have an 86 GS750es ... is your GSX750es different than mine?
