    Guages

Anyone have any info about changing the speedometer on my '81 GS1000G. It only goes to 85 mph, and I'd like to be able to read speed past that. :-D

I don't have any info on guage swaps, but just think of the excuse you can give cops when they ask, "Do you know how fast you were going?"

BTW my '81 1100 has the same problem.:-D

Most GS bikes use the same speedo drive. You could use one from , say , an 82 850G that goes to 140 and it would work.
1981 GS650G , all the bike you need
1980 GS1000G Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely

Maybe you should keep the original speedometer and live a little longer. Your bike won't get close to 140 mph anyhow.
