old bike+high octane=horrible performance?

Yep...steer away from gas stations that have big trucks filling the tanks, they stir up all sorts of bad stuff that goes into your tank...not just water...

Where do I find a gas station where they only fill from little trucks? :mrgreen:

Last night the news up here had the story of a guy who filled up and got a tank full of water. He didn't even get out of the station before his vehicle died. Drained it himself and actually showed a jar of the watery stuff. Gas station says it's not their problem. Lol.

When I take off it sounds like my bike detonates or if I am in a low gear and go to accelerate it sounds like it rattles, so tonight I threw in some 100 octane to see if it shuts it up. I pulled the plugs and took a looksy, tops of the pistons look clean and clear, perhaps I am hearing something else.

I just got the bike so who knows what the PO was up to.
