Tachometer drive cable leaking oil
The tach drive cable on my 1980 GS1000E leaks a small amount of oil. If i recall i have replaced the cable two times over the years and may have lost an oring during replacement. Does anyone know how it should be assembled?Tags: None

bwringer has a tech article for replacing these thats very good.The factory parts are about 8 bucks.

heres a link with the parts breakdown. Youre looking for #s 23 & 24 I think. I thinkn the part numbers this site lists are suzuki numbers, that might help you a little if you go to the dealer.

The part numbers on the www.alpha-sports.com website are the Suzuki numbers. Some sites use their own part numbers (like www.bikebandit.com).
