85 GS 450 Turn Signal Swap

I am trying to swap my old turn signals for smaller LED type signals and I cannot get them to flash.My old signals worked fine but I wanted something smaller.The new signals light up when turned on but will not flash.Do I need to switch to a different flasher unit?Has anyone here done this before and if so any info on the flasher part number? Thanks Alot

You need a different flasher. The new LED units don't draw enough current to use up the capaciter in the flasher. Try an autoparts store. I don't know enough about them to tell you which one to get.
