    02 GSXR1000 Forks on a 83 GS1100 ES ???

    I have a 1983 GS1100ES

    I have a complete front end from a 2002 GSXR1000

Will that front end work on my bike or not ? I have been reading the archives, and I can't find a definitive answer...... Everyone seems to reccomend the early 90's GSXR fronts. That's fine, but what about the later ones like what I have ? Will they work YES or NO ? What problems can I expect ? Should I just sell them and buy an older set ?

    THANKS !

Only thing that will be necessary is to switch the bearings. The newer GSXR stuff uses rollers instead of tapered. You'll probably have to fab some fork stops and get headlight brackets but aside from that is is completely doable.

What's the lenght on those? The 1100 forks I used are a bit over 30" and provide just enough ground clearance for the headers.

Their was some thing posted about using RF top trippleto be able to get additional length from the fork tubes and you may need some custome made spacers

        check on the USD forks
